Visibility into at least Tier 1 suppliers with documentation.

Design for durability with quality control measures.

Products designed for recyclability, repairability, or biodegradability.

At least 60% of materials must be certified sustainable (GOTS, OEKO-TEX, etc.).

Use of materials from recognized preferred materials lists.

Compliance with MRSL (Manufacturing Restricted Substances List).

No use of exotic animal materials or endangered species products.

Small brands (10-29 employees)

Supplier code of conduct covering labor rights and working conditions.

Micro-brands (1-9 employees)

Fair payment terms and stable order practices with suppliers.

Micro-brands (1-9 employees)

Health and safety standards in own operations and key suppliers.

Regular training on sustainability for customer-facing staff.

Information provided to customers about product care and sustainability.

Packaging is recyclable, reusable, or made from recycled materials.

Fashion show sets and props must be reusable or recyclable.

Proper waste management and sorting at fashion week events.

Signed commitment to the Berlin Fashion Week Sustainability Charter.
